A request to conserve water has been issued by the Oceanside Water District until further notice for all residents. The recent weather conditions have caused the intake at Short Creek to become silted and will require maintenance before water can be pumped to the Water Treatment Plant. Additionally, there was a slide that has affected the main water supply line to Cape Meares. The OWD is working on correcting these issues, but does not yet have a timeline for completion. At this time, they are saying to check their website for updates.

UPDATE (10:10am – 12/14/2015) – The Oceanside Water District has been able to make clean water since Saturday afternoon, and tanks are beginning to fill back up. Cape Meares is still under conservation restrictions due to line repairs being done on their main water line, but the conservation request to The Capes and Oceanside has been lifted.
